We will only reap the benefits of becoming a digital nation if we ensure that everyone has access to the right education, skills and digital media literacy programmes to ensure that being digital is within the grasp of everyone.

This Idea is in deed a great one. In an Ideal world where there is no Financial constraints or Elitism we certainly would reap the benefit of universal education sooner rather than later. In spite the negatives I have Presented here this Goal must be pursued vigorously and in twenty years time we will begin to reap the rewards if we start pilot projects as soon as possible. Bearing in mind Education is a very expensive Investment.
Analysys Mason report: Delivering High Quality Video Services Online published today, read it here http://www.ofcom.org.uk/research/technology/research/emer_tech/hqvs/
Ofcom realises that the current infrastructure won’t support High quality video, and this is one of the ways to educate online. Pull down information in a format people like. Rather than push down soaps? Another reason to put investment into fibre. Everyone would benefit.

Just received this link from America, my nephew is the one on keyboard. They have summer camps to encourage the kids to perform, then use Youtube to broadcast the end result. Everyone should have enough connection to be able to do this. 2meg USO won’t be enough. A small video file like that from the average person’s camera would take a week to upload on the connections most of us have. (its an awful song they chose BTW, if you watch it suggest another LOL)
